Cocoons

Last week I wanted to take pictures of all the beautiful yarn I had bought, but Tarcil was too tired to get out of bed, so I didn't take any pictures of him.   In the meantime, the yarn I bought already got made into newborn cocoons!  These are so easy to make and each one only takes me about 30 minutes since I have the pattern memorized.  I played around with the size some so that I would have different sizes available to use.  I can't wait to use them!  Doesn't Tarcil look so cute??!!?  I especially love his little furry foot!  

To keep you all up to date, Tarcil is very old, and I don't ever force him to do anything he doesn't want to do.  He sleeps a lot so I don't have as many opportunities to take pictures of him which means I won't be sharing as much with you all.  Instead of posting Monday through Saturday, I think for now I will start only posting on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  Thank you all for your understanding and support!  Tarcil is such a sweet, special little guy who is loved by many!  :)

Yoga Tote

I found this awesome tote bag for my yoga stuff at Target!  I was just thinking that I needed a big bag to hold everything I have acquired recently, and then I spotted this!  It is perfect!  It holds the mat on the outside and leaves plenty of space inside for all my other stuff.  Tarcil wanted to know if he could be a stow away, and join me when I go do to yoga.  What a cutie!  :)

Yoga Strap

My sister bought me this yoga strap for Christmas!  I don't use it much, but I do know how to use it, and I have used it before.  Tarcil just wanted to know if he could chew on it.  Haha!  :)

Yoga Block

My sister found this yoga block at Target and asked if I wanted one.  I said sure even though I don't really know what it is for, and I have yet to use it.  I figure that there is a lot more to learn, and I am sure this will become useful at some point.  :)

Yoga Socks

Part of my yoga collection includes socks.  At first I thought it was ridiculous that there were socks made for doing yoga.  But the more yoga I did (especially as the weather got colder), the more I realized that yoga socks would be really nice.  My sister actually got me these for Christmas.  :)

Yoga Mat

So, I don't talk about this much, because it is a fairly new part of my life, but I LOVE yoga!  My sister got into it from a class that is held at her church, and she invited me to go with her.  I was hesitant at first, but she persisted and I had a chance to help her win a basket of yoga stuff if I went with her.  So I went.  She didn't win, but I did end up really enjoying it, and I haven't missed a week since I started!  I actually own two yoga mats now!  I bought this one because it is thicker and longer than my other one.  

Face Cleaning

I love watching Tarcil clean his face!  He does a great job of making sure he always looks good!  It doesn't take much effort when you are as cute as he is!  :)

Orchid

My orchid is blooming again, and I am so excited!!  I love these flowers so much!  Right now there is only one flower open, but there are a few more buds that are getting quite large and should open soon!  Tarcil wants to remind you all that life is short and that you should make sure to stop and at least look at the flowers, even if you don't want to sniff them.  Haha!  :)

I also want to say Happy Birthday to my brother from Tarcil and I!  :)

Keurig Reusable filters

So the main reason that I have been drinking coffee almost ever day now is because I got a 4 pack of reusable filters for my keurig!  I had one before, but now I have 5 to use which makes it easier to make myself a cup of coffee every day.  I love these because I can pick whatever coffee I want without creating waste from using the k-cups.  If any of you have a keurig, I strongly recommend these!!  And in case you are wondering, yes, Tarcil was trying to eat these.  Maybe he likes the smell of coffee as much as I do!  Haha!  :)

Candle

I got this Avon candle from my husband's aunt and it is a dark roast coffee scent.  I seriously love it soooooo much!  It smells AMAZING!!!  I have been drinking coffee basically every day recently, so I am sure it won't be long before it is a part of my daily routine and becomes a habit.  I love coffee!!  :)

New Yarn

I bought some new yarn again!  It's been a while since I have bought any.  I am excited for the projects I am doing with these!!  I can't wait to get them finished!  :)

I also wanted to take a moment to say that I really appreciate all of the love and support from people all over the world these last two and a half years!  I never dreamed that this blog would get so much attention or that it would last this long!  Tarcil is very old and is starting to show signs of his age.  Many of you ask me how old he is.  I don't know his exact age, but I bought him from a pet store on September 21, 2014.  Even though Tarcil still seems very healthy, he does spend more and more time sleeping.  This makes it more difficult to take pictures of him, so I don't think I will be able to continue posting 6 days a week.  I will post as much as I can.  There are already over 700 posts, so if you are wanting more, feel free to dig through some older posts that you may have missed!  Thanks again for all the love and support!  And make sure you follow and subscribe to this blog so you don't miss some exciting news coming up!  :)

Peter Hollens Misty Mountains

Happy Friday!  I got this Peter Hollens CD for Christmas!  I love it so much!  I still have my Lauren Daigle CD in the car, so I have been listening to Peter Hollens when I am at home working.  It seems like every time I put it in, I am drawn to a different song.  I think my favorite song today is The Last Goodbye.  Tarcil's favorite is Arwen's Song.  :)

Joe's Birthday!!!

Today is my wonderful husband's birthday!  Tarcil and I wanted to wish him a very happy birthday!  Unfortunately because of his schedule today, Tarcil won't even see him, and I only will get a couple hours with him.  He is working hard, and I appreciate him soooo much!  I am excited for tomorrow when I get ALL day with him!  :)

Crystal Sled

Every Christmas after my family is done opening all our presents, my mom brings out an assortment of stuff that she has collected that she wants to get rid of.  Some of it is stuff she recently acquired from a relative who wanted to pass it down, some of it is her own stuff that she is ready to get rid of, and occasionally some of it is stuff she bought as presents but doesn't remember who she bought it for.  This crystal sled was something she brought with her.  I don't remember exactly what the story behind it was, but I think it belonged to one of my relatives.  I think it will make a lovely candy dish!  Tarcil wanted to take a ride in it first though.  :)

Tolkien Book!

My husband got this cute little book from one of his coworkers!  I can't wait to go through it!  We love everything to do with Tolkien in this house!  :)

New Table!

So this table is the big project that my husband and I worked on over break!  These pictures really don't do it justice because it is a huge table and you are only seeing a very tiny part.  The table is in our craft room in the basement and almost takes up one half of the room!  It has a huge shelf under the whole thing that now houses all of my storage tubs and drawers.  Everything is easy to access, and I have plenty of space to have various projects laid out at the same time.  Tarcil was exploring the end that holds my sewing machine.  :)

Lettuce

So we are at the end of this week of healthy eating, but I hope you all continue throughout the rest of this year and the rest of your lives!  I can assure you that Tarcil will be eating healthy for as long as he lives!  He really enjoyed this piece of lettuce!  If you ever need some encouragement, just come back here and look at that cute, fluffy face as he happily eats his lettuce.  :)

Stuffing Face with Cucumber

So how are you all doing with eating your veggies??  As you can see, Tarcil didn't really eat this cucumber... he basically just stuffed it into his cheek, but he did eat it later.  Sometimes you just gotta push yourself to eat those greens!  Haha!  :)

Banana

Bananas are sooo good for you!  And for those that have been following this for a while, you might remember that bananas are Tarcil's favorite food!  Since fruits have more sugar than veggies, he doesn't get them as often, but he loves them every chance he gets!  :)
