Tarcil Falling Asleep

Tarcil was falling asleep in his box after a little visit with my sister.  He was so cute that I couldn't resist sharing this with you!!  :)

I think my favorite part is the end, when he finally gives in, leans over, and closes his eyes.  :)

Tarcil on Piano Keys

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Black Friday, since that is apparently now a holiday too... haha  :)

Tarcil and I had fun on my sister's keyboard!  I am always surprised to see how much Tarcil has grown in only about two months.  These pictures give a little more perspective to his size.  He barely fits into one of my hands now!

These pictures were done per request by a fan of Tarcil's.  If you have other requests or ideas, feel free to comment and let me know.  I can't guarantee that I will be able to do every request that comes in, but you never know unless you try!  :)

Tarcil with Wooden Veggies

Happy Thanksgiving!!  I hope you all can spend time with the people you love and can give thanks to God for all His blessings!  Honestly, this has been a really rough year for me, but no matter how difficult my life gets, there are ALWAYS so many people and reasons to be thankful!  I am learning each day to really focus on those people and things that bring me joy and not let the negativity in the world to bring me down.  I hope you do the same.  :)

Tarcil is thankful for his crate of wooden veggies that he can chew on.  :)

Tarcil in My Shoes

I just love the look on Tarcil's face in these pictures!  He seems so comfortable standing in my shoes.  :)

Look at how he holds his head up high, not caring that those shoes aren't even his size.  :)

Tarcil with Wooden Blocks

I found these cute little blocks at a pet store here in town, and I knew Tarcil would love them!  I was planning on keeping them until Christmas, but I couldn't resist and I gave them to him today.  I guess I will just have to find him something else for Christmas!

He immediately picked one up and started chewing on it.  :)

Tarcil in a Wine Glass

I am not much of a drinker (as in the only alcohol I have ever tasted was when my husband and I went wine tasting on our honeymoon).  And yet despite that fact, I have quite a few wine glasses.  I have always thought they look elegant, so I find myself buying them.  I am also terrified of breaking them since they are delicate, so I generally only use them on special occasions.  But the older I get, the more I think it is better to enjoy life and not be concerned with materialistic things that won't last no matter how careful we are.

Happy Monday everyone!  :)

Tarcil with my Hoodie

If you haven't noticed, I try to post a video every Saturday.  I can't promise that this will always happen, but I will do what I can.  :)  So today I wanted to show you what Tarcil does when he has access to my hoodie.  He is far too cute for me to get upset with him.  :)

Tarcil with Dice

For those of you who might not be familiar with why anyone would ever own so many dice of different shapes and colors, I will tell you.  These dice are used to play a game called Dungeons and Dragons.  And for those of you still lost on what D&D is, it is a role-playing game.  My husband and a group of his friends play this every Friday evening at our house.

I let Tarcil check out the dice and it took him about two seconds before he tried to eat them.

Tarcil was confused as to why I kept taking the dice away from him every time he picked one up.  :)

Tarcil with an Elven Archer Lego

I got this Elven Archer from my oldest brother a couple years ago.  I usually keep him on my desk right under my computer monitor so I can enjoy him every time I work.  :)

Tarcil sniffed at the bow and I was worried that he might try to eat it, but then he seemed to realize I was watching him really closely.  He turned and starred at me.  What a cutie!!  :)

Tarcil looks like a giant next to the Lego.  :)

Tarcil with Candles

I LOVE candles!  There is just something about the scent, the warmth, and the flickering flame that mesmerizes me.  Tarcil sniffed at the jar, but it didn't seem to have the same effect on him as it does on me.  :)

Oh and I can't forget to say "Happy Birthday" to my brother from me and Tarcil!  :)

Tarcil and the Snowman

With this first really good snowfall for the year, I knew that I wanted a way to introduce Tarcil to snow.  I also knew that I didn't want to take Tarcil outside, especially not today with how cold it is!  So, I decided that I should make a snowman for Tarcil.

Tarcil was not very interested in the snowman at all; he didn't even pay attention to the carrot nose.

The poor little snowman was leaning more and more as he melted away.  Tarcil didn't even seem to care.  What a silly little guy!  :)

Tarcil in the Fruit Bowl

Tarcil LOVES fruit!  I let him sit in the fruit bowl, and he immediately tried to eat the banana.  He seemed a little frustrated that he couldn't get it open.  He was very close to being successful which I discovered later when I noticed all the teeth marks on the skin of the banana.  :)

Tarcil eating his Treats

I had to hold the treat in my hand so that Tarcil wouldn't try to cram the whole thing into his cheek at once.  As you can see, he was tugging at the treat with all of his strength to get it out of my hand.  What a silly little guy!  By the way, he is actually a lot stronger than you might think...  :)

Tarcil the Artist

I always have so much fun coming up with ideas to show you all just how awesome Tarcil is!  He brings me so much joy!  It is my hope that I can spread some cheer onto anyone who sees these pictures and videos of him.  :)

Look at that face!  I love when he scrunches up his face!!

If you have any ideas or requests for a photo shoot of Tarcil, let me know!

Tarcil among Beatrix Potter figurines

Sometimes it can be so comforting to look back and remember your childhood.  As a child, I was obsessed with Beatrix Potter's books.  And I still love her works today!  I have a little collection of mugs, plates, and figurines in addition to my large collection of books.  Tarcil enjoyed sniffing them and pushing them out of his way so he could wander around the table.  :)

Tarcil with Penny's toys

I couldn't resist doing this!  This little basket is how I attempt to keep all of Penny's toys together instead of lost under the couches.  Tarcil fits pretty nicely in the basket and almost blends in with the cat toys.  :)

Just to be clear, I do NOT let the kitty play with the hamster.  :)

Tarcil on a Mirror

Happy Veterans Day!

I am so thankful for all the men and women who have served and are currently serving in so many different capacities all over the world!  "Thank you" really doesn't even begin to describe my gratitude for you all!  I especially want to give a shout out to my awesome brother in law who is currently serving in the Navy.  I love you and miss you Quinn!!  :)

I know that me posting pictures of my hamster doesn't really do any justice for today in honoring our veterans in the way that they deserve, but Tarcil is super cute and maybe these pictures of him can bring a little extra cheer to someone.  :)  I decided to stick Tarcil on a mirror because I wanted to see how he would react to seeing himself.  He didn't seem to notice at all.  He was too interested in watching what I was doing.  :)

Tarcil looks like he is smiling in this picture!  I love it!  :)

Tarcil using the Chromebook

Tarcil likes working with me.  :)  I love having him with me while I work, but he is terribly distracting.  I mean, he is just so cute and fuzzy!  :)
