Pretty Flower Buds

I am so happy that it is Saturday!  I love Saturdays because I get to have the whole day with my husband to relax and have fun!  The weather is still fluctuating, but it is mostly staying warmer which means the trees in the yard are blooming!  I decided to bring some of the beauty indoors for Tarcil to enjoy.  I think he liked the way they smelled because he kept sniffing them.  :)

Fluffy Fur Yarn

So yesterday when I said I bought new yarn, I was only showing you some of it... Hahaha!  I LOVE this fluffy fur yarn!  I am also going to make lots of pretty colored blankets out of this yarn to be used when I photograph newborn babies!  I can't wait to finish all of these projects!  :)

New Extra Soft Yarn!

I finally decided that it was time to buy some new yarn!  I bought this beautiful and soft yarn to make baby blankets!  Tarcil can't wait to see them finished!  :)

Pretty Crocheted Headbands for Newborns

I am starting to use my knitting and crochet skills to make props for my photography business.  I photograph newborn babies, and I plan to make lots of blankets, headbands, hats, booties, and more!  These were some practice runs of a shell stitch baby headband with flowers to be added on.  I think they are gonna look really good!  I will probably make a lot more of these since they are so simple!  :)  Tarcil seemed to like the flowers the best.  :)

Beginnings of Gryffindor Scarf

I have finally started on the project that I planned to do all along with these beautiful colors!  I am make a Gryffindor scarf!  This is probably going to take me a long time to make, but I wanted to show you the start of it!  I had to learn how to knit in the round for this project.  In other words, this will be a tube shaped scarf with open ends until I add tassels, which is the very last step.  Tarcil likes to see my progress!  :)

Cutie

It can be difficult to look this cute on a Monday morning, but Tarcil manages quite well.  Haha.  :)

Jewelry

I don't own or wear a lot of jewelry, but everything I do have is significant to me in some way or another.  This little box that I keep jewelry in was from my grandma who has passed away.  The heart necklace is from my husband during a time when we didn't have much money, but he still felt it was important to get me something nice for Christmas.  I took a metalsmithing class in college and one of my projects was making that ring.  It was a long process, but I love the ring!  The ring on the right I bought when I was about 13 on a family vacation to Canada.  These three pieces of jewelry are just about all I ever wear other than my wedding and engagement rings.  :)

Time-Life Photography Books

I was recently contacted by a couple who I got to know because they are friends of my parents.  They are moving and therefore getting rid of stuff.  This set of photography books by Time-Life was on their list of things to get rid of.  They weren't asking much for this set and I was completely enthralled by them as soon as I saw them so of course I bought them!  Tarcil thought maybe these books could teach him photography.  Haha!  Silly hamster!  :)

Gryffindor Headband

I said after making the Gryffindor cup cozy that there would be more projects in these colors.  Well, this headband was my next project.  I used this as a way to practice a new knitting technique and to be able to see the way it would look.  In other words, this is a test piece for a bigger project that will be coming.  :)  Tarcil seemed disappointed that this headband is too big for his head.  He looks so cute trying to make it work though!  :)

Computer Guts

Tarcil looks confused by the insides of this old laptop.  My husband has taken this apart many times to fix it over the years.  Finally he took out the salvageable parts and is going to get rid of the rest since it is officially beyond worth and repair.  This was my first laptop.  It served me well throughout my college years.  :)

Filling Up

When it's Monday, I just want to stay in bed and eat instead of getting up and working.  Tarcil has the right idea by stuffing his face with a nice big bowl of food.  Hahaha  :)

Gryffindor Cup Cozy

Today is another lazy day to relax!  And I have been working more on my crochet skills!  I learned how to change colors which was incredibly simple!  I made this Gryffindor cup cozy!  Tarcil likes the colors.  I am sure there will be many more projects with these colors.  :)

BFF with Tigger

Tarcil loves my little Tigger!  They are both orange fluffy balls of energy!  Hahaha!  :)

After Dinner Face Cleaning

Tarcil makes sure to keep his face clean after stuffing dinner into his cheeks.  Haha.  I love how fat his face is!!  :)

What's This??

I gave Tarcil some tasty treats and he quickly pouched everything but these little puffs.  Then he looked at me as if to ask what they were.  I don't think he likes the puffs.  Haha.  :)

Something Sweet Gift Box

This adorable little gift box packed with yummy treats was another souvenir my husband and I got from our trip!  This was given to us for being second time guests at the bed and breakfast.  We ate some of the treats from Something Sweet on our trip home.  They were delicious!  Tarcil didn't get anything from this box, but of course I gave him plenty of his own treats.  :)  

Castle in the Country Mugs

Last week was Spring Break so my husband and I took a little vacation back to the lovely bed and breakfast that we went to for our honeymoon.  Even though it was just a short couple days, it was SO relaxing!  The food was just as amazing as we remembered!  We stayed in a different room this time, and it was so beautiful and spacious!  I think Tarcil missed us, but we brought back these wonderful mugs as souvenirs, which he enjoyed checking out.  :)

Cup Cozy

I love Saturdays!  It's nice to sleep in and have a relaxing day with my husband and furry family!  I made this cup cozy which is prefect for a nice, hot cup of coffee to start a lazy day.  :)

Big Boy!

When I look back at pictures of Tarcil from shortly after I first got him, I realized what a big boy he is now!  He used to be so tiny!  I mean, look at him!  His body and face have lengthened and of course he got fatter.  Haha.  :)
