Announcement!

Announcement! I know I haven’t posted much since Tarcil passed away. He was such a special little guy, and I know he can never be replaced, but I am excited to share with you all that I am adopting a hamster from The Pipsqueakery! They specialize in rescuing hamsters (and sometimes other small rodents) and are located in Bloomington, IN. They have such big hearts, and I am so excited that I can support them in this way! There are other reasons I am bringing this up to you all. First, I would love to take a load of donations with me when I go to pick up my little girl. They are a nonprofit rescue and sanctuary which means they have lots of needs and operate from donations. If you are interested in donating goods, you can do that directly through their Amazon wish list, or you can get it to me before I leave. Second, if any of you are interested in adopting a hamster from them, you can fill out the application online, and if you get approved, I would be more than happy to transport your hamster to Fort Wayne for you when I go get mine on May 26th!

For information on The Pipsqueakery and general hamster care, go to: http://thepipsqueakery.org/

To fill out an application, go to: http://earps.org/adoption/adoption-application/

To send donations from their wishlist, go to: http://a.co/eCG5ab2

Above is a picture of the little girl I will be getting! She is only about 4 weeks old right now. :)

RIP Tarcil

I have been searching for the words all day to let you all know that Tarcil passed away today.  He was curled up in his little bed and looked so peaceful.  This is one of the last pictures I have of him and was taken about a month ago.  I know he brought a lot of joy to so many people, and will be greatly missed.  He had such a sweet, gentle personality.  He was so laid back and didn't mind me dressing him up in little costumes.  He was a star and did so great in front of the camera.  I am glad that I have thousands of pictures to remember him by.  I hope that if you are having a bad day or find yourself missing Tarcil like I am, then you can look through this blog of pictures and find some more joy in his cute little face.  Tarcil lived a good, full life and was nearly 3 years old.  I don't know his exact age, but I got him in September of 2014.  I want to take one more opportunity to thank all of you for the love and support from all over the world towards me and my little Tarcil.  You are all so awesome!

Goodbye Tarcil!  I will never forget you!  I love you and miss you so much!

Tales of Tarcil: Costume Edition 3!!

I am so excited to announce this! I have been working on this for a few months. This will be the final eBook I make of Tarcil, so you don't want to miss it!

This eBook is 60 pages of Tarcil in adorable handmade costumes! Read the stories of each character he dressed up as! You can purchase this eBook for $2.99 on Amazon! :) Below you can see a sample of what is inside! I thought the St. Patrick's Day and Easter were perfect for this time of year! I hope you enjoy this as much as I do! Tarcil is really enjoying being spoiled when he is awake, which isn't often. He is normally curled up, sleeping in his nest. He currently has his nest where I can see him, which is super convenient for me to check on him every couple hours. I truly appreciate all the well-wishes for Tarcil! The love and support I have gotten from everyone is such a blessing!

Soap Nuts and Wool Balls

I have been more and more interested in using as many natural products in our home as I can.  This is a slow process as many of these natural products require learning how to use them and often require me to break old habits and make new habits.  I recently made the switch to soap nuts and wool balls.  It is a higher cost initially, but I am saving lots of money in the long run!  I love knowing my clothes are clean without lots of chemicals and I especially love how soft they are!  Tarcil likes that I am going making these changes in my life.  He is the cutest supporter out there!  :)

Rainbow Yarns

This is probably no surprise to anyone, but I bought more yarn!  Haha!  I love the swirls of colors creating a rainbow in these yarns!  I can't wait to work with them!  Also, don't you think Tarcil looks like he needs to sneeze, but then it just went away??  Haha!  I hate when that happens to me!  In reality, Tarcil is just turning into a grumpy old man.  Haha!  He is still such a sweetheart, but he seems grumpy if he isn't eating or sleeping.  Haha!

Wire Basket

I have been eyeing this wire basket for a few weeks, but I told myself I didn't need it so I didn't buy it.  But of course, when I saw it was on sale, then I suddenly changed my mind and bought it.  Haha!  I am glad I got it because it really is quite cute!

New Basket

I love baskets, and when I saw this one on sale, I thought it would be great to add to my collection.  Doesn't Tarcil look so cute??!!  :)
