Tsuro of the Seas is the "sequel" to Tsuro. In this game, instead of making sure your ship is just avoiding the other players, you also have to avoid dragons. This game is fast and different every time as you build your own path through the perilous waters. Tarcil liked looking at the ships. I don't think he noticed the dragons, because he kinda walked right over them.... Haha! :)
We are the cutest hamsters ever, and we have the best adventures in the world!! :)

Love Letter
If you find yourself too busy to play board games or maybe you find yourself in a waiting room, then this is the perfect game for you! Love Letter is so quick and easy to play! And the entire game fits into a little bag that would fit in your purse or a pocket. By now it shouldn't surprise you that my family bought the Hobbit version of this beloved game. We love Tolkien! :)

Lord of the Rings
If you have been following this blog for any length of time, I am sure that by now you realize that my family is a huge fan of everything Tolkien and especially everything Lord of the Rings! This includes board games too! I especially love playing cooperative games and this is one! So my husband and I got this board game, and we have played it a couple times. We have yet to win the game, but we still enjoy playing it! I think maybe the key to us winning is to have Tarcil on our team. :)

Star Fluxx
Happy Birthday to my Dad!
Last week I focused on books that I love, and this week seemed like a good time to jump into some games that I love. To be honest, I only liked a handful of board games growing up. I would say that list consisted of Life, Monopoly, and Parcheesi. I have always enjoyed watching other people play games because I can come and go as I please without being committed to playing the game through until the end. It wasn't until a couple years after I got married that my husband really convinced me to try playing more games. His persistence in finding board games that I like has paid off!
This week Tarcil is learning to play some of my favorite games! I am starting off this series with Star Fluxx. I think a lot of times, people don't like board games because of the complicated rules. Let me tell you that this game is as simple as it gets! You draw one card and play one card. That's it! Well, until the rules change... Hahaha! :)

Unfinished Tales and The Silmarillion
Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law! She gave these books to me and my husband for Christmas! We are so excited to read them and learn more about Middle Earth! In case you couldn't tell, we are big Tolkien fans! Obviously Tarcil is too since he was named after a Tolkien character. :)

The Jesus and Joshua Codes
I have already started reading both of these books and so far, I really like them! They are meant for you to take your time and reflect on each chapter, so it will probably be a while before I am done with them. I think Tarcil was trying to get the book open so he could check it out for himself. Too bad he is a hamster and doesn't know how to read! Haha :) That's okay though, because I can read them to him. :)

Bridge to Terabithia
This book, "Bridge to Terabithia", was probably my favorite book for a couple years when I was growing up. It is such a beautiful story, and I can't wait to read it again! I will make sure to have a box of tissues handy, because it is a sad story, but it is seriously so good!
