Mr. Incredible

Day 5

I am so glad this idea popped into my head!  This was not one of the original ideas I had.  I thought of this while make another one.  Tarcil seems to make all of these costumes look really good.  He has been so good while I take pictures of him!  He doesn't seem nearly as scared of the camera as he used to be.  :)

Spider-man

Day 4

I am a fan of Spider-man even though I really don't like spiders.  Making the spider for this costume was actually fairly difficult for me.  I ended up making it much bigger than I originally planned on because it is hard to make detailed cuts in felt.

Green Lantern

Day 3

This is one of the costumes I did for my husband.  I knew that he would appreciate it and it was so simple to make!  I think Tarcil looks really good in green.  :)

He is so cute!

The Flash

Day 2

I knew as soon as I decided to make costumes for my hamster, that I would have to do the Flash.  I guess I like the similarities between the Flash's superhuman capabilities to move quickly and what it looks like to watch a hamster move around.  Haha.  Ironically, Tarcil barely moved when I put him in this costume.  He instead just sat there and cleaned his little face which was so cute that I couldn't possibly be disappointed with him.  :)

My Little Pumpkin!

So I decided to get in the spirit of Halloween by making costumes for Tarcil!  I actually came up with this idea a couple weeks ago.  I started by making a list of characters I wanted to dress him up as.  Then after some sketches, I made a list of all the materials I would need.  I purchased the materials, and I have been spending my evenings creating the costumes.  I didn't think it would take me very long to do, but as I was making the ones on my list, I thought of new ideas that would be fairly easy to make.  I also got some suggestions from my family.  So what started out as just two or three ideas grew to a dozen.

My idea is that I will post pictures of Tarcil in a different costume each day starting today and ending on Halloween.  I hope you enjoy this project I have been working on!  I had so much fun doing this!  And I think Tarcil likes this too.  :)

Tarcil was very interested in sniffing and trying to eat the leaves.  This was probably his first time ever seeing them before.  He had a lot of fun!!  :)

Tarcil and Penny

I love spending time each evening with my fuzzy little guy!  Penny gets super jealous and tries to stay as close to me as possible as you can see.  I seriously love these two so much!  :)

Tarcil's tongue

Do you see his little tongue?!?  He always gives me that same look when I take pictures of him while he is drinking.  He definitely likes his privacy.  :)
