Bow Tie Collection

I made all these awesome bow ties for newborn photography sessions!  I think I will have to try to make one to fit Tarcil since these are just too cute!  I also wanted to remind everyone that today is the last day that I am running my discount on newborn photography sessions!  :)

I love this pattern so much!  http://stitch11.com/infant-bow-tie/

Memorial Day

Tarcil is hoping that anyone who has lost loved ones are surrounded by people who love them, comforted by knowing that those who died will never be forgotten, and respected by a grateful nation.  But most importantly, I hope they can have this not just today, but every day.

Penny's Tunnel

Tarcil was checking out Penny's Tunnel.  He just kinda sat there and cleaned himself for a bit.  Then Penny saw him and decided to see what he was up too.  :)

Pretty Blue Bow Ties

I found a better bow tie pattern that I love!  I made these pretty little blue bow ties!  I plan to make a lot more of these now that I have a good, easy pattern.  Tarcil thinks these are some classy looking bow ties.  Maybe I will make a mini one for him.  :)

This is a link to the pattern I followed to make these:  http://stitch11.com/infant-bow-tie/

Mini Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins

These are more goodies that I made for the youth bake sale that was a couple weeks ago.  They were very yummy!  And of course there aren't any left anymore.  Haha!  Tarcil must have really liked the smell of these because he snuck in a little bite when I was taking these pictures!  Haha!  What a naughty little hammy!

Mini Turtle Cheesecake

These are a couple throwback pictures.  I made these mini turtle cheesecakes for the youth bake sale that was a couple weeks ago.  I wish I could say I still have some left, but they are most definitely gone.  They were delicious!!  :)  Tarcil thought they smelled good.  :)

Do I look fat?

I think Tarcil looks so cute!  He seemed to be wondering if the food he stuffed into his cheeks made him look fat.  I think he looks nicely plump.  Hahahaha!  :)

Monday...

I don't know about you, but I am pretty tired and not sure I am ready for this to be Monday.  Haha!  Tarcil looks pretty tired too.  Maybe he partied all weekend while we were out of the house.  Haha!  It was a very busy weekend for us!  We looked at houses and put an offer on a house which was accepted!  We hope to be finished with the process and be able to move into our new home by the end of next month!  :)

Robotics

Last year Tarcil got to play around with the robot that my husband's robotics club made.  This is the robot that they made this year!  I got to see this robot preform a couple different times.  This year the robot preformed in a "carnival" and the objectives dealt with placing rings and a strength test.  It was neat to watch!  Tarcil likes seeing the fun stuff that these robots can do.  :)

Bow Tie

I am starting to focus more on making baby boy photo props which lead to me looking up how to make a bow tie.  I found an easy tutorial, but I don't like the bow tie as much as I hoped.  I think it is cute, but I am going to try to find another pattern for a better looking bow tie.  Doesn't Tarcil look so cute?!?

Baby Cocoons

I made these beautiful baby cocoons out of that wonderful chunky yarn I got last week!  I am so excited to use these on a newborn baby!  Tarcil wanted to snuggle in these, but they are a little big for him.  Haha!  :)

More Yarn!

So I have a funny story to share with you!  I told my husband a while ago that I was done buying yarn for a long time.  This was after I had spent over $200 on yarn.  I told him that I had everything I needed, and I wouldn't buy any more for a while.  He didn't believe me one bit.  And apparently he was right in not believing me because I bought at least one new skein of yarn every week for a few weeks now.  Hahaha!  I clearly love yarn and making lots of fun and useful photo props with all this yarn!  I bought black and some browns to use for boy props.  I decided that I have done enough pretty flowers for girls that it was time to do some cute boy things.  Tarcil is excited to see what I make!  :)

Crochet Flowers

I really love spending my evenings crocheting!  And since today is Saturday, I get to spend more time today on projects to show you next week!  I made these two different sets of flowers in so many pretty colors!  Both patterns were simple and fast to make!  In case you didn't notice on previous posts, I am including links to the videos I used for these projects at the bottom so that you can make them too!

Doesn't Tarcil look so cute among all the pretty flowers??!?!?

Ruffle Flowers

I LOVE these flowers!  They are so big with so many ruffles!!  They were easy to make, but they took time.  Tarcil was surprised at how big they are!  They are almost as big as he is!  Haha!  :)

Alligator Clips

I found this bag of 200 alligator clips on Amazon.  I plan to use them of all the flowers I make so that I can easily switch the flowers between the headbands.  I am so excited to get some more of my projects done for newborn photography props!  Stay tuned for more updates!  Tarcil likes seeing my finished work, but he also enjoys seeing the progression of work as well.  :)

Homespun Fluff Blankets

I finally made baby blankets out of this incredibly soft and fluffy yarn!  I love the texture and the colors so much!  And they are a perfect little size for photography props!  I didn't have a pattern to follow, so I just single crocheted until I ran out of yarn!  It was so easy!  I think Tarcil was upset to learn that these aren't for him.  He stuck his tongue out at me.  Hahaha!  :)

Shell Stitch Headbands

I got this beautiful set of Shell Stitch Headbands made!  I love these colors so much!  These are so simple and I easily memorized the pattern just from the repetition of making 6 headbands.  The video I followed includes a flower for them.  I plan to make those separately so that I can mismatch the colors as I see fit.  :)

Here is the video I followed: https://youtu.be/ztRm84lwyF8
Enjoy!  :)
