Mini Pet Bed

So, I got this adorable mini pet bed that is the perfect size for my fat hammies!  Be prepared to see me use this in sooo many photo shoots!  Hahaha!  Also be prepared to see some different photos from me.  I have been playing around with different equipment and set-ups.  I have been trying new things recently which has been both exciting and some times disappointing.  But hey, it's good to try and learn no matter what the results are.  These hamsters can actually be fairly hard to photograph at times which makes them good for practicing.

Nenya really did not want to stay in this bed.  She was sure that everything outside of the bed was more exciting and needed to be seen close up instead of watching it in a comfy bed from a distance.  She also practically blends into this bed.

Narya seemed to like this little bed the most.  She is the tiniest, so it was big enough that she still had plenty of space to move around and snuggle in.  But even her curiosity got the best of her and she had to venture out to see more of her surroundings.

Vilya stayed in the bed for the food he got and then to sniff it because he could smell the other hammies had been there first.  But once he realized they were long gone, he didn't have any interest in staying in the bed.  I have to point out how similar Vilya and Narya look in their last pictures.  They both have the same little smile.  I guess it runs in the family.  :)

Gorgeous Flowers!

I didn't get a chance to post these sooner, so they are now like a month old, but I am glad I can get the chance to share them now!  I have a schedule I use each week, but things outside my control keep forcing me to change my schedule.  I appreciate that I have a schedule that allows for flexibility, but I am definitely wanting to get back to my routine, especially since taking and posting pictures of my furbabies is usually the first thing that gets tossed out of my schedule when changes need to happen.

Due to the craziness of the last month, I managed to miss celebrating the day I adopted Nenya.  :(  Since I don't know when her birthday actually is, I count her adoption day, which was April 2nd, as the day to celebrate her.  So, here's to celebrating a year with my fluffy fatty as I affectionately call her.  :)  I was surprised she didn't immediately stuff that broccoli in her mouth, because she normally eats everything in her path.  Haha!  :)

So not only did I miss Nenya's adoption day, but I missed Narya's birthday on April 9th.  :(  Truly this was a double failure on my part.  I can't believe my tiny babe is a year old!  She's definitely grown since I adopted her, but she's still tiny and just the sweetest little girl ever!

Vilya was definitely happy that despite the fact that I missed two reasons to celebrate, I did still have yummy food for him to snack on.  He happily stuffed it away and cleaned himself up.  :)

Easter Bunnies

I love Easter!!  It's filled with so much hope and promise!  It also tends to make me anxious for warmer weather!  I love seeing all the little baby animals that are born in the spring.  A couple years ago, I got to watch a family of baby bunnies grow up in our yard.  Now that we have a dog, I think they prefer our neighbors' yards instead.  :)  Nenya is doing her best impression of a baby bunny.  I think she did too well at standing still.  She never once tried to hop away.  :)

Narya is so small that these bunny ears didn't fit her very well.  She still looks so cute though!

Vilya wouldn't stop walking around, so it was difficult to get a good picture of him, but I did manage to get a couple.  :)  He's so adorable!

LOVE

These are the last pictures from my series of LOVE!  And don't you just LOVE these pictures?!??

Nenya thought for sure that one of those hearts just had to be edible.  Haha!  I think she was disappointed that none of them could be eaten.

Narya happily ate her pecan, and then she had to check to see if she could eat the flowers too.  Hahaha!  Look at her little tongue!

Vilya didn't seem to care about the hearts or the flowers.  He also didn't really care about posing for pictures, so I just got this one shot.  He is so cute though!

Hearts

I am extending my Valentine's Day photos through the rest of this month, because frankly, we all could use more love in our lives.  :)

Nenya didn't want her carrot, but she was happy to pose for me.  What a gorgeous girl she is!  I love her!

My tiny girl, Narya, gobbled up her carrot and then wanted to check to see if the hearts were edible too.  Hahaha!  Look at that precious face!  I love her!

Vilya didn't want the carrots or the hearts.  He just wanted to meet the ladies.  I'm sure we all agree that he is a handsome guy, but he's staying single.  Haha!  I love him!

Be My Valentine?

Happy Valentine's Day!  I love my fluffy little hamsters!  And even though they aren't all that great at doing photo shoots, I love taking pictures of them.  I have consented to the fact that I won't get any pictures at all unless there is food involved.  And even with the food, they still might decide they suddenly aren't interested in food.

Nenya surprised me the most during this because she normally grabs any food around as quickly as possible and runs everywhere.  Her nickname is fatty, but on this day, she barely touched any food.  Thankfully, she held still long enough to get pictures.  In fact, I got through her pictures faster than any of the others because she did exactly what I wanted on the first try.  She's such a good ham when she wants to be.  :)

Narya was more interested in the food than I expected.  She rarely shows interest in food outside her cage and even in her cage.  She just doesn't have the food drive the way most hams do.  That might explain why she stays so tiny.  Haha!  I was happy that she at least tasted the foods I offered.  She took the whole piece of spinach and had a nibble of the strawberry.  She's so sweet.  I have the most pictures of her from this photo shoot because she is the easiest to photograph, and I can't stop myself from getting all the cute pictures!

Vilya was probably the hardest to get pictures of.  He just doesn't hold still.  He is a curious and confident guy so he likes to explore.  He also didn't pause very long for all the food like I had hoped because he was more interested in looking for the ladies, so most of the pictures I have of him are slightly out of focus.  Oh well.  He is still so adorable!  :)
