Rope Puppy Toys (600th Post!!)

I can't believe it is September already!  I seriously don't know what happened to August!  I think all this puppy preparations have made the time go by too fast!  We are now only a couple days away from bringing home Beren!  I am determined to make sure he has lots of toys to help him stay entertained, happy, and healthy!

I also want to acknowledge that this is my 600th post!  Again, I have no idea how that went by so quickly!  I want to take a moment to thank you all for the support you have shown me over the last couple years with Tarcil!  We will be celebrating two years with him soon!  He has been such a blessing to me!  I never thought I could love something so small as much as I do!  Tarcil has such a wonderful, sweet personality!  I wish that every one of you could meet him and see for yourselves!  But since many of you are on the other side of the world, you'll just have to take me at my word that Tarcil is amazing!  :)

If you are new to this blog, feel free to look around!  There is a lot to see!  Some of the most popular posts are of Tarcil in costumes and of Tarcil hanging out with our cat, Penny.  They are great friends!  Thank you for your support, and I hope you enjoy what you see!  :)

Puppy Toys

So just like I am stocking up on chew toys for our puppy in order to save my furniture, I am also making sure I have plenty of other toys to keep Beren occupied!  This is my futile attempt to make sure that I can still get work done while having a puppy in the house.  Haha!  I am pretty sure I am gonna have my hands full for a while!  Each evening, when I am done my work for the day, I have been spending time reading articles about training tips, or doing other related things to help prepare myself for when we have Beren!  It's just a few days away!!  :)

Puppy Bone Toys

Puppies like to chew on everything, especially when they are teething!  I would prefer if Beren doesn't chew on my furniture, so I am buying lots of toys for him to chew on instead.  :)  I think Tarcil is wondering if he will be spoiled like this or if those days are over for him.  Hahaha!   :)

Puppy Collar

We are getting our puppy, Beren, on Saturday!!!  I am obviously very excited!  I decided to dedicate this week to show some of the preparations we are doing before we get Beren.  To start with, we got this cute little collar!  I think it might be a little to big even at it's smallest setting, so I also bought an adjustable harness to use first.  I also have this cute ID tag for his collar that has information in case he gets away, which hopefully will never happen.  Tarcil seems very confused as to what all this is.  I don't think he understand that we are going to have any other fuzzy family member soon!  :)

New Couch

My husband and I can finally relax today!!!  We try not to work on Saturdays since we work so much Sundays through Fridays, but we aren't always very good about actually reserving Saturdays to take time for ourselves to recharge.  It's a constant struggle for us.  :(  One thing that does help is this comfy new couch we got for our basement!  Tarcil had a blast exploring it and hiding behind the cushions.  :)

Tarcil is trying to get himself cleaned up for the weekend.  How do you think he looks?  I think he is adorable!  :)

Thing Explainer

My husband is a HUGE fan of the website comic called XKCD (you can look it up for yourself at http://xkcd.com/).  I will warn you that the humor might go over your head if you aren't into math/science.  Anyways, the author of the comics wrote this awesome book called Thing Explainer.  My husband spotted it on Amazon and had to have it.  I think the Picture Taker is my favorite.  :)
This book is so simple that Tarcil probably understands it.  Haha  :)
