Lil' Pumpkins

These pictures were taken over a month ago, but I think they are too cute to not post, so despite that we are clearly fully in Christmas season, I hope you can enjoy these cute lil' pumpkins.  😊  I am officially all caught up on client galleries which feels amazing!  I still have a lot of personal pictures to get through, but they'll get done eventually.  I also only have one last step to do before the end of the year for the major project of switching church management systems that I've been working on since like August I think.  The last few months have been a blur...  But I'm feeling better every day!  I can't say that I'm ready for Christmas though...  I have begun to plan out all the baking I do, but that's about it.  Normally I'd be almost done shopping by now, but I haven't started that.  😐  But it's all good.  I work well under pressure.  Haha!  πŸ˜…

The last couple weeks I've realized that my boys are getting old.  They are probably both around 15 months old and while I'd love for them to both live to be at least 2 years old, I know they didn't have the best start to life which could affect their lifespan.  I don't spend nearly as much time with them as I'd like since I avoid waking them up and they aren't generally awake when I am.  But they are both such sweet boys and I love them.  πŸ’—

OlΓ³rin is fairly shy and prefers to be left alone, but he tolerates me holding him.  I make sure he is well compensated in treats.  😊

White Pumpkins

I'm excited that it's gonna be a bit warmer again this week!  I'm hoping to be able to make one last good push to get some of the yard work and various projects done before it gets too cold again.  I also am trying to enjoy the zoo as much as possible for the rest of this month until it closes for the season.  I've been pretty good this past summer at keeping my wildlife blog up to date, but I am definitely falling behind on it now.  I also haven't been sharing any of my pictures on social media except for my hamsters, so I probably should focus on sharing my other work again too.  😁  I don't want y'all to get the idea that I haven't been working this year, because I have been!  My specialty is babies, but I do plenty of other work too.  It's not too late to book a fall session while the weather is still beautiful and the trees are changing colors.  😊

I bought some fall decorations, but I wanted to keep it simple and make sure it blended in well with the decorations I already have.  These white pumpkins add the perfect touch of fall to my table.  Doesn't Laurelin look so pretty with them?!  😍

Tarmund was not interested in getting his picture taken, so unfortunately this was the best one I got.  There was a treat sitting there, but he grabbed it before I got a picture and then he was gone.  πŸ˜‚

Fili and Kili are just so precious together!  I barely can tell them apart, but Fili is slightly smaller than Kili, he is a bit more skittish than Kili, and he is generally less interested in food than Kili is.  Can I point out that when I first got them, Fili was much bigger and obsessed with food (trust me, I remembered who was who because I said Fili was Fat πŸ˜‚), but at some point that apparently changed as Kili became bigger than Fili, which has made it even harder to tell them apart.  Now I remember by saying Kili is Kind.  😁

My Little Pumpkin!

So I decided to get in the spirit of Halloween by making costumes for Tarcil!  I actually came up with this idea a couple weeks ago.  I started by making a list of characters I wanted to dress him up as.  Then after some sketches, I made a list of all the materials I would need.  I purchased the materials, and I have been spending my evenings creating the costumes.  I didn't think it would take me very long to do, but as I was making the ones on my list, I thought of new ideas that would be fairly easy to make.  I also got some suggestions from my family.  So what started out as just two or three ideas grew to a dozen.

My idea is that I will post pictures of Tarcil in a different costume each day starting today and ending on Halloween.  I hope you enjoy this project I have been working on!  I had so much fun doing this!  And I think Tarcil likes this too.  :)

Tarcil was very interested in sniffing and trying to eat the leaves.  This was probably his first time ever seeing them before.  He had a lot of fun!!  :)
